The Hot-Flash Blades were the first really special looking blade JB Lures came up with. The Hot-Flash blade gives a swimming minnow look which fish find hard to resist. Starting with a Hammered Nickel or Hammered Gold blade and not painting the bottom one third, a hammered effect is still maintained. To do this each blade is hand inserted into a specially designed rack. By adding, with an airbrush, a two-toned look above the hammered portion, with the darker portion on the top and a lighter portion in the center, then finishing with an epoxy, finally a prism eye is added; a great swimming minnow action is duplicated. When you first run this blade in the water, take a few seconds to notice what a great effect is given when this blade spins. Truly a different look.
